Malaika Kapur

Associate Director, Programs

As Associate Director of Programs, Malaika leads the CDL Pedagogy and CDL Apprentice programs globally as well as the launch and development of new strategic program initiatives such as the CDL Reading Group. Before joining CDL, she was immersed in the Canadian startup ecosystem as a Venture for Canada Fellow. She has worked in the education and health sector designing learning experiences at a tech education company and managing business development at an early-stage global health startup.

Malaika graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Commerce degree and specialization in Organizational Behaviour. With roots in Africa, she has previously chaired an international conference aimed at promoting growth in Africa’s emerging economies and has delivered a TEDx talk on the importance of youth-led entrepreneurial action to drive change.
