Warren Spitz is the Founder, President and CEO of UCS Forest Group, North America’s premier distributor and importer of high-quality hardwood lumber, specialty softwoods and decorative panels. UCS Forest Group and its businesses, Upper Canada Forest Products, A&M Wood Specialty, and Sierra Forest Products, operate facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Warren is currently the Chair of the Faculty Advisory Board of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is also on the Board of Directors of NOW Health Group, based in Bloomingdale, IL. Additionally, Warren is a member of YPO (formerly Young Presidents’ Organization) and Chief Executives Organization (CEO). He is the Board Chair of the TD Toronto Jazz Festival and served for the last four years on the Art Gallery of Ontario Foundation Board of Trustees. Warren previously served for nine years on the Board of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Warren (UBC BCom ’81) and his wife Maureen (UBC B.Sc. ’79, MBA ’81) have three children and reside in Toronto. With his family, Warren created the Spitz Fellows Program for Indigenous women at the UBC Sauder School of Business in 2015. The Spitz Family and UCS Forest Group also support several charities and non-profits across North America and globally.
