Ricky is an academic and entrepreneur. He founded and ran Q2 Metrics, a big-data predictive analytics company servicing healthcare companies; clients included Johnson & Johnson, Gilead, GE, Medtronic, McKesson, Stryker, Becton Dickinson, Boston Scientific, Abbott, and Biomet-Zimmer. In 2016, the organization was acquired by publicly traded global conglomerate Quintiles/IMS (recently rebranded to IQVIA).
Since then, Ricky has shifted gears and is now focusing on early-stage venture capital as General Partner of Continuum Ventures. Continuum Ventures makes early-stage investments in health technology companies leveraging AI/big data, machine vision, neurotech/brain-computer interface, synthetic biology, nanotherapeutics, gene editing/engineering, regenerative, stem cells, blockchain, robotics, and mixed reality (AR/VR).
Ricky currently sits in advisory/investor roles for multiple startups in the following spaces: machine-vision medical AI, quantum-ready consultancy, intelligible AI for protein-folding, sensor technology for medical device, MEMS eye and gesture tracking and more.
