Mack Healy

Partner, KdT Ventures

Role: Associate

Site: CDL-Atlanta

Mack started his career in venture almost a decade ago at Fenwick & West, a leading emerging company and venture capital law firm where he advised on hundreds of venture financings from both sides of the table with total deal value far in excess of $1B. Over the course of his career, Mack worked with and advised companies including Airbnb, Bonobos, Cisco Systems, DataBricks, DataStax, Dell Technologies, Rent the Runway, Tastemade and WhatsApp.

Two years ago, Mack left his legal practice to join KdT Ventures as its second partner. KdT invests in companies applying computation to chemical and biological systems as a means of harnessing the “physical layer” (i.e. DNA) of our world. Representative companies from the KdT portfolio include PathAI, 54gene, Solugen, Dyno Therapeutics and Checkerspot.

Prior to joining KdT, Mack wrote angel checks into multiple seed stage companies, including PathAI. Mack has been invited to guest lecture at the University of Michigan Law School and has previously served as a mentor to the University of Texas Venture Fellows.

In his personal time, like most, Mack enjoys spending time with his family, including three year old daughter and recently born son on Lake Travis.
