Alberta Enterprise Corporation promotes the development of Alberta’s venture capital industry on behalf of the Government of Alberta by investing in venture capital funds that finance early-stage technology companies. As President and CEO, Kristina Williams oversees the management of the $175 million Alberta Enterprise Fund, which has committed to invest in 13 venture capital funds. Kristina currently sits on several limited partnership advisory boards of these VC funds, and she is a member of the TEC Edmonton Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Alberta Enterprise, Kristina worked for numerous technology companies, where her responsibilities spanned the spectrum of legal, regulatory, international and new business development, corporate strategic planning, intellectual property management, and marketing and sales. Kristina holds an MBA from the University of Alberta, a Master of Laws from the University of Uppsala, and accreditation from the Venture Capital Executive Program at the University of California, Berkeley – Walter A. Haas School of Business.Kristina is also the Honorary Consul for Sweden in northern Alberta.
