Fred Dawkins is a serial entrepreneur with startup experience in diverse sectors including manufacturing, retail, land development, small business consulting, and import/export. He is best known as Co-Founder of the old Hide House in Acton Ontario for which “it’s worth the drive,” but his first love was building a world-class manufacturing company in the leather industry that he and his partner sold in 1990. Currently he is writing a series on entrepreneurship entitled The Entrepreneurial Edge; the first book, Everyday Entrepreneur, came out in the fall of 2013. He holds an MA degree in Economics as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree (W.E. Rundle Gold Medal), both from the University of Toronto.
