Elham Alipour Khayer
Elham is the Vice-President of Data Science at Charli AI, a technology company that helps users manage, organize and keep track of their contents using cutting-edge machine learning and Artificial Intelligent technology. She works closely with stakeholders and is responsible for leading the company’s AI strategy, tying technology to business goals, and delivering AI solutions that positively impact the experience of users.
Previously, she has worked as a Staff Data Scientist with General Electric (GE) Digital, a subsidiary of GE to provide software and IIoT. In this role, she led a diverse team of data science and software engineers to develop two major products. Elham has also worked as an Optimization Researcher for 1QB Information Technologies (1QBit), a Vancouver-based company that works to solve industry’s most demanding computational challenges using quantum computing technology.
As an advocate for women in STEM, Elham also led GE’s women’s network hub in Vancouver. She organized and executed multiple events and workshops to help and inspire women to grow their careers in science and technology.
Elham holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a B.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology.
