Dan Cohrs was most recently Chief Financial Officer at D-Wave Systems, the quantum computing company, in 2016-2020, for which he raised more than $140 million of capital. He has extensive experience in several industries, with companies ranging from start-ups through multinationals. He has served in senior positions in corporate strategy, development, and finance at Marriott, Northwest Airlines, GTE, Global Crossing, and Rentech, a renewable energy company in the fuels technology and fibre businesses. As CFO, he has managed IPOs for Global Crossing and Rentech Nitrogen Partners, raised more than $25 billion of capital in all forms, and completed acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures ranging from $200,000 to multiple billions of dollars.
Mr. Cohrs has also served as a faculty member at Cornell University and Harvard University, where he taught MBA students corporate governance and finance. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, and Public Policy from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management and a B.S. in Engineering from Michigan State University.
