Chris Huskilson

CEO & President, Emera Incorporated

Mr. Christopher G. H. Huskilson has been the CEO and President at Emera Incorporated since 2004. He served as President and CEO at Nova Scotia Power Incorporated from 2004 to 2006 and as the COO of Nova Scotia Power Incorporated since 2003. Chris also served as COO of Emera Incorporated from 2003 to 2004. has held a number of senior management and leadership positions within Emera’s subsidiary, Nova Scotia Power Inc., and its predecessor, Nova Scotia Power Corporation, since joining in 1980. Chris was Chair of Tampa Electric Company from 2016 to 2017 and serves as its director; he also serves as the Chair of Emera Maine and was Chair of Greater Halifax Partnership. He served as Vice Chair of Emera Maine (alternate name, Bangor Hydro Electric Company) since 2001. He moreover is  or was director of the following entities: TECO Energy, Inc., Emera Incorporated, Greater Halifax Partnership, Emera (Caribbean) Incorporated, Nova Scotia Power Incorporated,  Emera Maine (non-independent),   Innovacorp, ICD Utilities Limited,  St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited ,  Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (independent),  Maine & Maritimes Corporation, and Emera Utility Services Inc. He additionally served as a trustee of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., from 2009 to 2009 Chris is the Chair of the Canadian Electricity Association and Past-Chair of the Energy Council of Canada, CIGRE International Council on Large Electric Systems, and the Board of the Halifax Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Chris holds an MSc and a BSc in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
