Paule de Blois

Ms. Paule De Blois is President and CEO of Axelys. She has over twenty-five years of experience and field achievements in leading and managing businesses, particularly in start-up, commercial maturation and restructuring contexts. Since 2017, Ms. Paule De Blois has been President and CEO of SOVAR, a limited partnership organization that supports innovation development and technology transfer for Université Laval and other research centers. She cumulates over twenty-five years experience and hands-on achievements in business and enterprise management, including start-ups and commercial maturation. From 2005 to 2017, she held senior executive positions in biotechnology (Vice President of Operations at DiagnoCure) and robotics (Chief Operating Officer of B-Temia) and served as Executive Director for the Quebec Network for Personalized HealthCare.
Over the years, she has been responsible for the development and implementation of new sales and marketing strategies, negotiated and closed several business and clinical collaboration agreements, and implemented new governance and operational frameworks. She also gained first-hand experience in the areas of regulatory affairs, technical and clinical testing, marketing of innovations, US expansions, and corporate finance.
Prior to that, Ms. De Blois held positions of increasing responsibility as Director, Administration at The Prudential of America – Canada; Director of Group Product Marketing for Desjardins Financial Security; and Senior Organizational Communications Advisor at Aon and Mercer.
Currently, she is a director of the National Optics Institute (INO) and the Quebec Innovation Accelerator Movement, Réseau Capital and the Musée de la Civilization de Quebec.
Ms. De Blois holds an MBA from McGill University, a BA in Political Science from Concordia University and a certificate in Marketing from the University of Quebec in Montreal. In addition, she is a certified corporate director of the College of Administrators of Laval University.
