Marc Faucher has spent his 25+ year career at the intersection of tech and emerging markets, as both a venture capital investor and as a company operator/co-founder.

Most recently, he was COO and co-founder at Unata, an enterprise software platform for grocery retailers across North America. Marc jointly led all growth efforts from concept to double digit $M recurring revenue base (and profitability), culminating in the successful acquisition by Instacart in early 2018. Unata was recognized by Deloitte Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies (2017, 2018), Profit 500 fastest growing (2016), and Best Workplace in Canada (2017).

Previously, Marc was an investment partner with both the BlackBerry Partners Fund and Summerhill Venture Partners (formerly BCE Capital), two technology focused venture capital funds. He’s lived through all stages of investment lifecycles, experiencing both the learnings and merits of several successful nine figure exit events as well as the critical lessons of market failures.

His other professional experiences include strategy consulting with The McKenna Group, a boutique go-to-market growth strategy firm focused on technology based businesses, and product management roles with Ericsson Communications.

Marc has a bachelor’s in engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two kids, enjoys a broad range of activities (squash, hockey, golf, cycling) and is an aspiring kite surfer.
