Keith G. Brown
Keith Brown is the CEO, owner and founder of Lamont Brown Group, an investment management entity and family office combination. He has invested in a number of private equity deals in the real estate, energy, technology, and manufacturing sectors. Other business involvements include: Owner of a Farmland Investment Company in the area near Gravelbourg, Sask. The land is partly cash rented and partly contract farmed, all under precision farming applications; Owner, founder and CEO, of Trailtech Inc. in Gravelbourg, Sask., since start up in 1985 to present day; Owner, managing partner and founder of National Trailer Parts Warehouse Ltd., since start up in 1992 to present day; Chair of the Board and investor in Morris Industries Ltd.
Keith is an active community member. He is a Founding Member of the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary and Chair of the Management Advisory Council (MAC) for the Dean of the Haskayne School of Business. He is also currently a member of the Calgary Presidents Group. He was Chairman at Gravelbourg School Division from 1989 to 1995, past member of the Uranium Development Partnership (UDP), past Chair of STEP (Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership) Board of Directors, and past member IRC (Investment Review Committee) for four different Private Equity Entities in Western Canada.
Keith has been the recipient of several awards including the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002, the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal, the Saskatchewan Centennial Leadership Award, as well as the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX award for Community Involvement in 1998 and Innovative Work Systems in 2002 (Trailtech Inc.).
Keith enjoys playing golf, wine collecting, running, biking, business and literature reading, music (jazz in particular), travel and being a granddad.
