Gregg Fergus is currently advising several healthcare and other ventures, including Healthy Minds Innovations, the non-profit arm of the Center for Healthy Minds. From 2014-2020, Gregg was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Commercial Officer of 4Catalyzer, a Guilford, Connecticut-based startup accelerator dedicated to democratizing healthcare and maximizing societal impact. 4Catalyzer provides funding, support and mentoring, and raised more than $800 million for four of its healthcare startup companies. Its biggest success has been Butterfly Network, which went public in Jan 2021. Prior to joining 4Catalyzer, Gregg was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Ion Torrent, which pioneered an entirely new approach to DNA sequencing. Gregg’s other previous executive roles include Executive in Residence at RW Baird/Baird Venture Partners, where he provided investment thesis, deal flow, and industry contacts for the life science tools market; Chief Commercial Officer of Cellular Dynamics International; and Senior Vice President of Sales and Global Operations at Affymetrix, Inc. Gregg is an alumnus of UW-Madison with a degree in Bacteriology and has remained involved in the university through WARF and other engagements.
