Dr. Cecilia Värendh Månsson’s research focuses on technology’s impact on organizational structures in Africa. Her PhD thesis investigated fintech’s and mobile technology’s impact on microfinance organizations work in Africa.

Dr. Värendh Månsson holds her PhD from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She spent her second year as a PhD student as a Visiting Fellow at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and her fourth year as a Visiting Fellow at Harvard Business School, Harvard University. Dr. Värendh Månsson holds an MBA (distinction) from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and a B.A. in Economics / Math (4.00/4.00) from Columbia University.

Dr. Värendh Månsson has several years of experience within entrepreneurship. She has founded two start-ups and successfully raised capital from VC firms and business angels for one of them. Dr. Värendh Månsson sits on the board of two companies and she is a Fellow in the World Economic Forum’s Council on ‘Responsive Financial Systems’.
