CDL-Atlantic is located at the Rowe School of Business at Dalhousie University. The program will leverage the business school’s strengths to capitalize on Dalhousie’s world-class research expertise in ocean, clean, and environmental technology, as well as agri-food and bioproducts. This partnership will further expand CDL’s portfolio of technology-based startups, creating a unique “blue-green” technology stream as well as a general stream at CDL-Atlantic at Dalhousie.

CDL-Atlantic will foster the creation of powerful blue-green technology ventures through strategic alignment with Dalhousie’s research initiatives in this area, including the Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI), the NSERC/Tesla Canada Industrial Research Chair, and the Canada Research Chair in Organic Agriculture.

The Prime (General Technology) Stream at CDL-Atlantic operates from Halifax, Nova Scotia, one of Canada’s largest tech-hubs and a centre for ocean-related and clean technologies. The stream brings together many of the region’s most experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and scientists from diverse fields including software development, infrastructure, food and agriculture, and clean technology. CDL startups work with these mentors to sharpen objectives, prioritize time and resources, raise capital, and engage with experts working on the frontiers of research.
