Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), originated at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, is a nonprofit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science- and technology-based companies. The CDL program has created billions in equity-value since its inception by targeting companies that have the potential to transform our social, industrial, and economic landscape.
CDL helps innovators transition from science projects to high-growth companies, inviting some of the world’s top, early-stage technology ventures from around the globe for an innovative 9-month program. After a rigorous application and selection process, each CDL site engages senior entrepreneurial leaders, as well as noted scientists, economists, investors, and graduate students in the support of new venture founders with a goal to prepare these founders for seed-stage financing and accelerated growth.
CDL Sessions Days:
The CDL Program is nine months in length. All CDL sites have 4 one to three-day(s) objective-setting sessions for the ventures in the program. These full-day CDL Sessions happen every 8-weeks are attended by the startups we admit and the CDL Mentors, an elite group of successful technology entrepreneurs and investors.
At each session, participating founders have the opportunity to interact with different mentors one-on-one in ‘Small Group Meetings’ (SGM’s) and a group meeting, Large Room Discussions (LRD’s). Founders benefit from rich exchanges with experienced entrepreneurs who discuss and debate the feasibility of different paths that a startup might choose from, drawing from their diverse experiences.
CDL Session days include both Small Group Meetings and Large Room Discussions. These meetings include the various CDL stakeholders and your role would be to support the smooth running of CDL sessions by fulfilling the tasks described below.
Shifts will take place Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 9:30 pm ET. Dates and times are subject to change.
