On May 5, 2018, NASA launched its latest Mars lander called InSight. InSight is designed to give the Red Planet its first thorough check up since it formed 4.5 billion years ago. The rocket that launched InSight also launched the first interplanetary CubeSat technology to Mars to relay back InSight’s data as it enters the Martian atmosphere.

Dr. Firouz Naderi was the former Program Manager and Director for Solar System Exploration Programs at NASA.  Currently, he is Creative Destruction Lab’s Chief Investigator for Spacecraft, Rover and Satellite Design.  During a CDL Session, Dr. Naderi presented some key highlights of the mission only a few weeks before InSight lands on the surface of Mars.

InSight is set to land on Mars on November 26 at 3pm EDT. For more information on the Mars InSight Mission, visit here.
